50$ a day + 100$ deposit 730 lari We rented a Hunday Sonata with automatic . If we had a choose, we definitely would have gone for a SUV. I search online before our arrival to rent a car, but there are very few rental companies in Kutaisi, most of them are in Tbilisi and there is a 30 to 70 euro tax to bring in to Kutaisi and the same to take in back. This would raise a lot the total price of the car.

The museum in dedicated to Stalin and his life. I was surprised by a few things I found about him: in a picture from his youth, he looks like a very ambition and forward thinking person. He studied to become a priest. The guide is in a hurry and you try to hear and understand what she said because she speaks a russified English and the group in pretty big. I like the tapestries - they are made with very detailed information and the section with gifts received by Stalin from other world leaders. Most of them are with his face ;)

in the day we took this trip it was raining very heavy and it was a huge traffic and at some point it just stopped. We believe a landslide or an accident cause this. We were Forster to turn around, but I highly recommend you go to Stepantsminda.
